Project Details
Upgrading of the revolving equipment to this wastewater treatment works to a paper mill involved the surface refurbishment of the concrete support framework. Originally the equipment ran on a single steel support rail, but was now to run on the surface of the concrete structure. A hardwearing, durable solution was sought.
Product Selection
Based on a proven track record in similar applications, Belzona 4111 Magma Quartz was approved. The work carried out also required the reconstruction of three of the concrete bridge supports, which were found to have structural failures following surface preparation.
Interesting Facts
The revolving gantry imposed a point load in excess of two tonnes on the two support wheels.
