New Office Headquarters for Veolia

Project Details:
This Design and Build contract was for the construction of a new modular office building (floor area 980m2); together with alterations and extension to an existing building and associated external works.
Product Selection:
The existing buildings comprised an assortment of portable buildings which were time expired. A modular office system was selected to accelerate the site construction period, by accommodating offsite manufacturing techniques. The contract period from vacating and returning to the new offices was 7 months.
Interesting points:
Early in the construction period it became necessary to increase the size of the building to accommodate more staff from another area. This requirement was incorporated into the original contract period, and not only was the additional work included but a two week saving on the original contract period was achieved.
